CityMusic Cleveland Chamber Orchestra will return in 2024 for the continuation of their 20th season with a performance at Praxis Fiber Workshop in Collinwood.

CityMusic Cleveland Chamber Orchestra is celebrating its 20th season with the first concert of its 2023-2024 series, Sinfonia Concertante. These performances will be held around the Northeast Ohio area between September 21-24 and will feature renowned violinists Kyung Sun Lee and Jung Min Amy Lee.

Klezmer and classical melodies swirl together in Golijov’s epic work The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind, the featured piece in CityMusic’s program The Visionary Clarinet with principal clarinetist Daniel Gilbert as the soloist.

Two string concerts highlight different parts of the chamber repertoire – from a quintet taking a retrospective look at a composer’s memories, to a premiere depicting Black America’s ongoing struggle for equality, and much more!

This October, Concertmaster Laura Hamilton leads the CityMusic Chamber Orchestra in a new direction: going democratic, with no conductor. Our opening concert features Beethoven’s First Symphony alongside violin romances with soloist Tessa Lark.

CityMusic Cleveland tubist Laura Potter performs contemporary pieces for the unusual pairing of tuba and string quartet in this concert of rarely performed chamber works.
