This performance of Verdi’s iconic Requiem is from CityMusic’s 2019 Yom ha-Sho'ah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) concert. It commemorates the prisoners at Theresienstadt concentration camp, who performed this Requiem 16 times in 1944, before being sent to their death at Auschwitz.
