CityMusic Hosts Show of New Works by Local Artists

Artwork depicting Lady Justice

Original artwork by a diverse collection of 14 Cleveland artists will be displayed at Current Cleveland this July in a show benefitting CityMusic and local artists. Join us Saturday, July 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. for the opening reception with food and wine, guest artists, and live music by Classical fusion ensemble 1N2ATIV3 starting at 7:30.

The exhibit features pieces commissioned for CityMusic program covers on the themes of Lady Justice, Women in Music and Women’s Suffrage, alongside new works curated by the artists.

Reflecting CityMusic’s commitment to promoting equity in the arts, the show brings together a heterogeneous group of artists whose diverse backgrounds offer a compelling range of perspectives on the program themes. Aficionados will recognize illustrious names like Liz Maugans, Kristen Cliffel and Asia Armour, and will delight in discovering the work of up-and-coming artists. The full list of contributors, plus previews of selected works, can be found here.
